I'm gearing up to build a new PC for gaming, video editing, streaming, and 3D rendering. I'm considering an Intel i7 14700k paired with an RTX 5070. I plan to make this build in about a month, so I've heard that GPU prices might drop by then. Is this a good combination for my needs?

That combo should work fine for what you want! However, consider going for the RX 9070 instead of the RTX 5070 if you're focusing on rendering, since it shines in other workloads. For gaming, I'd agree the 9070 is great, but for 3D tasks, Nvidia tends to outperform with their OptiX platform. Just something to think about before you commit!

Honestly, I'd think twice about the i7 14700k. If you're planning on mixed workloads, the AMD 265k might be a better choice. However, if gaming is your primary focus, the 7800X3D could be the way to go. Plus, the 14700k has some concerns about power draw and long-term viability. Also, as for GPU prices, keep an eye on whether you live in Europe or the US; it affects pricing trends. Locking in your GPU soon might be a smart move, especially with potential tariffs.

But isn’t the 265k also a dead end? Seems like Intel’s not the only one having issues.

Also, remember prices can differ a lot depending on your location. I’m in India too, so I get that.
