I'm currently considering buying a 9600X for $214 from Newegg, but I've come across an unopened Intel 9900X for $300 on Facebook Marketplace. Can anyone share their thoughts on whether the 9900X is a better deal than the 9600X? Also, how does it stack up against something like the 7800X3D, especially for gaming?

Resolution plays a big role, too. Some games will utilize the power of the 9900X fully, especially if you're into titles like Battlefield 6, which can really push those cores.
I think the higher the resolution, like 1440p, the more the CPU will get stressed, especially when you upgrade your monitor.
It really depends on what you’re using it for! Are you focused mainly on gaming or doing a lot of work like video editing or data analysis? Knowing that can help a lot in deciding between the two processors.

I get what you're saying, but does Battlefield really need all 12 cores? I've seen mixed benchmarks on that.
