Hey everyone! I'm looking for some insights on the Intel Arc B580 graphics card. I'm currently using a 1070 Ti, but since driver support will be ending soon, I need to make a switch. I have a Ryzen 7 1800X and am planning to upgrade to either a Ryzen 7 5800X or a 5700X3D if I can snag it at a decent price. I've seen posts about people getting the B580 to work with my ASRock X470 Master SLI/AC motherboard, so I think compatibility isn't an issue. I'm just curious about your experiences with the Arc B580. Is it any good? Are there any major pitfalls I should know about? I've been seeing mixed reviews—some say it's trash, others say it performs decently for modern games. I found one for $360 CAD, which drops to about $270 CAD if you factor in the included Battlefield 6. Is this a good deal or should I consider a different card? I just want something reliable for the next few years, especially for playing at 1440p with high settings. Let me know what you think!

A lot of the negativity around Intel's GPUs may come from fans of other brands. If you’re only playing modern games, the B580 might be fine. It's good to check benchmarks and see how it stacks up in the games you play. Just reduce your settings to high instead of ultra; it’ll save you from dropping frames!

Exactly! Some folks say running everything at ultra is just overkill anyway. A good high setting can make a big difference in gameplay experience.

Honestly, I've heard a lot of good things about the Arc B580, especially for budget builds. It's definitely worth considering if you play newer games. I mean, just because some folks bash Intel doesn’t mean the B580 isn't capable. If you can get a solid price on it, I'd say go for it! The included game does sweeten the deal too!
