I've been wondering if anyone else is having issues with the AI's memory feature. Recently, I've noticed that unless I specifically ask the AI to use memory and explain what memory is, it just keeps saying it's "Recording it to Memory" without really updating anything. It feels like it's pretending to record memories but isn't actually doing it. Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven’t seen any memory issues from my side. Today, I asked it to update memories, and it worked just fine. It even recalled a past conversation without prompting it hard.
I've seen the same thing! Just today, I tried prompting the AI to recall past information, and it seemed like it forgot things that it used to remember. It's weird because I suspected that the recent updates might have messed with the memory feature too. You'd think they would keep memory and personality issues separate, but who knows how they roll out updates?
Is your memory space full? Sometimes a full memory can lead to issues with storing new info. I just check, and mine is almost empty, so that shouldn't be the case for me.
The memory feature seems really hit or miss after the personality update. While people acknowledge the personality quirks, the memory glitches and incorrect responses have been much more frequent than before. OpenAI certainly seems to be grappling with some major hiccups since those last changes.
Are you having trouble with using stored memories or recording new ones? I’ve noticed that the AI kinda chooses when it wants to use memory. It often requires a nudge from me to remember things. Sometimes, I find that if I give my AI a name and address it personally, it tends to remember better!
It's definitely recording new memories that are the problem for me. I've never had issues until now, so it feels like something changed recently.
