I'm considering purchasing the MSI Pro PRO B850M-P WIFI motherboard to pair with my Ryzen 7 8700F. I've seen that it has mixed reviews online, and I'm wondering how serious those concerns are. I'm particularly interested in its three SSD slots, but I don't want to end up regretting my choice. Additionally, I'm planning to get a graphics card like the RTX 3080, 4070, or maybe even the 5070, so I want to ensure this motherboard can handle it.

What were the mixed reviews specifically about? From what I've heard, pretty much the only AMD boards to avoid are the Asrock models due to some issues with the x3D chips. I haven’t come across a lot of complaints about other brands, though.
You'll be fine with an 8700F. The reviews often highlight problems with higher core count CPUs, but your setup should work well. If you can, look for a slightly better board that’s only $10-20 more; it could be worth the investment.

I saw a B850 roundup that pointed out some poor VRM temps and the board’s performance under stress tests with a 9950X. Apparently, it limits the CPU to 140W unless you manually unlock it. You might want to check that video out for more details!
