Is the Pro/Max plan for Claude 4 really worth the investment?

I've been using the Claude 4 Opus API and while it's impressive, the costs are adding up fast—over $100 already! It's tough to keep this up financially, so I'm curious about your experiences with the Pro plan or the $125 Max plan. How much do you typically get to use Opus 4? Are there any limits I should be aware of? I'm planning to focus exclusively on coding with this. Any insights would be really appreciated!

I think the Max plan is definitely worth it! I started with the $100 a month, and even though I don't code as heavily as some, it handled every issue I encountered without any fuss.

That's good to hear! How many messages do you send daily? I feel like I used it up too quickly and my costs soared.

I'm using the $200 version, and honestly, it rarely runs out on me. The only time I've hit limits was when I had three instances running at once using the Opus model.

You should definitely consider upgrading to the Max plan. I'm on Max 100, and while it doesn't give unlimited access to Opus, I'm quite satisfied with using Sonnet as my main model.

How much access do you think you really get to Opus 4 with Max 100? Like, how many prompts do you manage to run before reaching any limits?

I use the $100 plan nearly all day, but it tends to run out just when I'm ready for a break. I usually hit the limits once or twice daily after intense coding sessions.

I've got the $200 plan too, and I've never actually hit the limit. The context can be a bit of a hassle, but it's manageable once you get used to it.
