Hey everyone! I'm considering an upgrade from my current 3050 to a 4070, but I've learned that the Ryzen 5600 may not be the best match and might cause a bottleneck for the 4070. So, I've shifted gears and am looking into an AM5 build instead. Here's what I'm thinking: an MSI B840 motherboard (around $191), a Ryzen 7 8700F CPU (about $195), and a Palit 4070 JetStream graphics card (roughly $740). Does this build sound good, or should I be looking at different options?

The Ryzen 5600 actually performs pretty well with the RTX 4070, so I wouldn't worry too much about it bottlenecking your system. As for your build, I recommend steering clear of the Ryzen 8000 series since they come with limitations like smaller cache sizes. Instead, focus on the Ryzen 7000 or 9000 series for better performance.
I'd suggest looking into the 7500F or the Ryzen 7600/7700 instead of the 8700F. The 8700F isn't your best bet for a build like this. Better to go for the newer options that offer more performance.
Really? I've heard some people claiming it's a major bottleneck. Thanks for the clarification!
