Is the ROG STRIX B850-F Gaming WiFi a Good Choice for My 9800X3D?

I ordered the ROG STRIX B850-F Gaming WiFi motherboard for my upcoming build with a 9800X3D processor. Despite the decent price of $280 and the nice features it offers, I came across a negative review from PC Gamer pointing out issues like 'weak VRM', chipset, and SSD cooling. I currently have an RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5, and a Corsair RMX 1000W PSU. I'm starting to wonder if I rushed into this purchase since I may not be able to refund it because it came with a game code. I'm looking for some advice on whether this motherboard is a solid choice or if I should consider returning it.

It looks like the review is focused on the VRM cooling, which might not actually be that big of a deal for your setup. If you have good airflow in your case, the motherboard should handle the 9800X3D just fine. Just keep that in mind; it could be a bigger issue for higher power draws like the 9950X, but you should be okay!

I have a fairly simple airflow setup in my case, and it works well with my Lian Li Cool 216 case - three front fans and an exhaust fan at the back. My current cooler keeps everything pretty cool and my GPU doesn't even reach 60°C while gaming. Hopefully, I won't need to add extra fans!
