I've had my Acer laptop for a year now and I'm wondering if it's still capable of handling the latest games. It has an RTX 3070 Ti GPU, an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 144 Hz 1920x1080 monitor with 1 TB SSD storage. Should I be confident in my system's performance for new titles?

You might want to consider that 12 GB of VRAM is becoming the standard for newer games. The 3070 Ti has 8 GB, which is fine now, but future titles could push that limit and impact performance. If you're on a budget, make the best of your current setup!
I don't understand why people get so defensive about the VRAM criticism. It's not unreasonable to look for better specs!
Many newer games might not fully utilize the performance of your GPU because of VRAM limitations. While you can still enjoy indie and some competitive games at lower settings, AAA games may require you to dial back your settings to keep up. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend anything below 12 GB for future-proofing. But it really depends on what you enjoy! Just figure out what your setup can handle best and have fun gaming!
Thanks for the input! I'm curious, do you think I could run RDR2 or God of War smoothly?
You're all set for 1080p gaming for a couple more years! The 3070 Ti should handle most games just fine right now.
Thanks for your comment!
Unfortunately, I’m a student, and I can't afford to upgrade right now. This is the best I can do.
