Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup. Currently, I have a decent build that's getting me about 90-110 fps while playing Warzone, but I'm aiming for a smoother gaming experience. I'm considering upgrading my graphics card to the Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core
- Motherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB DDR4-3200
- Storage: Crucial P2 1 TB NVME SSD
- Current GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB
- PSU: EVGA 600w 80+ Bronze Certified

Do you think the 4070 Super will be enough for a noticeable boost? Thanks!

Just a heads up, your Ryzen 5 3600 CPU might bottleneck the 4070 Super, especially if you play at 1080p in CPU-intensive games like Warzone. Consider upgrading to at least a Ryzen 7 5700X or 5800X if your budget allows. Also, check your PSU; Nvidia suggests at least a 650-watt PSU for that card, and you’ll need 2 8-pin PCIe connectors.

If I've got a budget of $700, what should I prioritize upgrading?

You might want to try turning your game settings all the way down first to see if you can squeeze out more FPS. If lowering the settings does help, then the 4070 Super would definitely be a solid upgrade. If your FPS doesn't change much, though, you may also need to look at upgrading your CPU.

I've got my settings on low too, but I'm still struggling for decent FPS.

What’s the price looking like for that upgrade? Sometimes you can find better GPUs for a lower price. You mentioned a refurbished one for $700, but it might be worth shopping around for other options.

Before dropping over $600 on a new GPU, it’s smart to monitor your CPU and GPU usage during gaming. Check if you're GPU bound or not. Also, make sure your power supply can handle the upgrade; if it's not up to par, you may need a new one too!

I'm pretty new to all this. What does GPU bound mean?
