Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card and I'm leaning toward the MSI Shadow 2X RTX 5070. I previously considered the 5060 Ti or 9060 XT (both 16GB versions) since they're cheaper, but after checking the benchmarks, the 5070 seems like the best value for performance compared to my current RTX 2060. The 5070 is priced at 538 EUR / 630 USD, while the 5060 Ti is 449 EUR / 525 USD and the 9060 XT is 369 EUR / 430 USD. The benchmarks show the 5070 performing about 162% better than the 2060, while the 5060 Ti is at 97% and the 9060 XT at 80%. So, at around 3.3 EUR per percentage of performance, the 5070 is more cost-effective than the others. My only concern is its 12GB of VRAM compared to the others' 16GB. I've gamed at 1440p with my 2060 (6GB VRAM) without any major issues so far, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether 12GB is sufficient for future titles and if my performance calculations make sense!

I’m running an i5-13500 with my 5070 and a 180Hz 1440p monitor. I’ve tested several games including BF6 and Resident Evil 4. I ran into VRAM limits only when I set everything to the maximum textures, which is pretty unnecessary for 1440p. For most games at high settings, 12GB has been plenty. Unless you’re keen on ultra-path tracing, your 5070 should be fine for the next few years!
What’s your CPU setup? In BF6, a solid CPU can significantly boost your performance!
Honestly, AMD is better for gaming if you're considering that route. Just my two cents!
I have the RTX 5070 and haven't run into any VRAM issues myself. The only games that pushed it a bit were Spiderman 2 and Indiana Jones when I cranked everything up for 1440p with DLSS and Path Tracing. You can manage VRAM usage by lowering some settings if needed, but honestly, the 5070 handles everything pretty well. Unless you're really keen on getting a super high VRAM card, the 5070 should serve you just fine! I’d recommend being patient for the 5070 Super with 18GB if you can hold out.
As an R5 7600 + 5070 user, I can confidently say that 12GB should be sufficient for the next few years of AAA games. Beyond that, if you're okay with tweaking your settings down a bit in the future, you won’t regret your choice. I built my setup for about £1,000 this year, and it performs great!

I’ve got a 5700X3D with a B550 motherboard and 16GB of 2400MHz RAM (which could be better, I know!).
