I'm using the exact setup you mentioned—9070 XT with the 9800x3d—and I love it! I play at 1440p, and I'm consistently hitting around 200 FPS in most games. Given the price difference, I think the 9070 XT is a no-brainer over the 5070 Ti right now. Honestly, I wouldn't consider NVIDIA until their 50 series super cards come out.
