Is the RX 9070XT Worth the Extra $90 Over the RX 9070?

I'm building a new PC soon and I'm torn between getting the RX 9070 or the RX 9070XT to pair with my AMD Ryzen 7800X3D. The price difference is about $90. My gaming habits aren't too intense—mostly playing Valorant, Fortnite, and Minecraft. I'm not looking to play super demanding titles like Cyberpunk or Red Dead Redemption. So I'm wondering if the upgrade from the 9070 to the 9070XT is really worth that extra cash?

Check out the benchmarks; the 9070XT has about a 10% performance advantage. In my opinion, if you plan to use this PC for the next five years, the XT is the way to go. It’s worth it for someone who doesn’t upgrade often!

If you can comfortably afford the extra $90, definitely get the 9070XT. You'll enjoy better graphics performance as newer games come out, which is important if you don't upgrade your GPU often. You'll thank yourself later!

I have a 7800X3D paired with an RX 9070 and honestly, it runs well on my ultrawide monitor for all the games I play. If I could just spend $90 to upgrade to an XT, I’d probably do it in a heartbeat, but I’m not completely dissatisfied with the 9070 either!

Definitely go for the 9070XT! It’s one of the best value cards out there, and for just $90 extra, you'll get solid performance that can last you for years. The 9070XT outperforms the standard 9070 significantly in most scenarios!

Agreed! It’s a no-brainer with that price difference.

Honestly, the 9070 is already powerful and might be overkill for the casual games you mentioned (like Valorant and Minecraft). If saving that $90 is important, you could stick with the 9070 and still get insane performance. But, if you want to ensure future-proofing and can swing it, go for the XT!
