I'm putting together my first PC with a Ryzen 5 7600X and an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of RAM. I've heard some people recommending that I upgrade the CPU, but I'm not sure if that's necessary. What do you all think? Is the 7600X still a solid option?

For 2K gaming, you'll be just fine! The 7600X handles modern games really well. Unless you're diving into some really CPU-intensive titles, you probably won't notice much of a difference as a casual gamer.
The 7600X is still a solid pick, although some might find the 9600X at the same price point tempting. Just keep an eye on prices where you live. Also, if you're considering upgrading in the future, the 9060 XT 16GB might give you slightly better performance over the 5060 Ti at a similar price!
Don’t pay too much attention to the upgrade talk! The 5060 Ti is a solid mid-range GPU, and the 7600X is more than capable for 1440p. Even a 5600 would keep up fine, so you're in a good spot with your choice!
Honestly, the 7600X is still a great CPU! It's only slightly under the 9600X and can handle pretty much any game without issues, even at high settings. You're good on that front!
In my country, the 9600X costs about $80 more than the 7600X, and I’ve seen the 9060 XT priced the same as the 5060 Ti, so I think I’ll stick with the 5060 Ti.
