Is the Ryzen 5600X a Bottleneck for the RTX 5080?

I'm currently running a Ryzen 5600X paired with an RTX 3080 and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, mostly gaming at 1440p. I'm considering an upgrade to the RTX 5080 but I'm unsure if my CPU will bottleneck the performance. Should I just slot in the new GPU, or is it better to build a completely new system?

If you're near a Micro Center or have a friend who can help you out, I'd suggest looking at a full system upgrade instead of just swapping the GPU. For about the same price as the RTX 5080, you could build a more future-proof setup with something like a Ryzen 9 9800X3D and a 9070 XT. That combo would serve you better in the long run!

I totally agree! At 1440p, grabbing just a 5080 seems like overkill. You'd get great performance with a 9070 XT or even a 5070 Ti at a better price.
