I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 7 5700 and the Ryzen 5 5600 for my new build. I've noticed that the Ryzen 7 has better specs overall, except for the L3 cache, and it's only $10 more. But I'm focusing on gaming performance. What do you guys think?

Just to add on, the 5700 uses a different architecture, which might be good for productivity but not ideal for gaming. If you do find the 5700X at a good price, that could be worth considering as well, but the 5600 remains a favorite for gaming performance.
If you're looking strictly for gaming, go for the 5600. The benchmarks have shown it's better optimized for those workloads, and you'll likely see improved frame rates compared to the 5700.
The L3 cache plays a huge role in gaming performance. While the Ryzen 7 5700 has more cores and higher specs on paper, in practice, it might not outperform the Ryzen 5 5600 when gaming due to that smaller cache. A lot of folks prefer the 5600 for gaming builds.
Honestly, for just $10 more, the 5700 is a decent option, but if gaming is your priority, the 5600 generally edges it out. Even tech reviews suggest the 5600 offers around 20% more gaming performance, making it a solid choice for gamers.
Thanks for the insight! Sounds like the 5600 would be the better investment for my build.
Yeah, exactly! The 5700 tends to perform better with tasks that utilize more threads, but for gaming, the 5600 actually gives you better frames per second.
