I'm about to build a new PC with a budget around $2400 CAD. I'm considering using the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the 5070 GPU. Do these components work well together for gaming? I'm planning to play games like Tarkov, MSFL 2024, and BF6. I'm new to this and noticed that a bottleneck calculator is showing a 29% bottleneck with this combo. Is that a big deal? If it is, what other CPU-GPU combinations should I look at instead?

If you're going with that CPU, I'd suggest looking into the 5070 Ti or the 9070 XT. You'll get much better performance and make full use of the 7800X3D's capabilities!
Honestly, the X3D might not be worth the price tag for gaming, especially at 1440p and above, where the GPU usually plays a bigger role. If you're mainly gaming, a 9600X paired with a 5070 Ti would be a better choice overall. Plus, with 12GB VRAM becoming less sufficient over time, you'd want to avoid being stuck with a less powerful GPU like the 5070.

That’s interesting! I picked the X3D because it was part of a $300 off bundle at my local store. Would a 9600X paired with a 5070 Ti be better for reducing bottlenecks and future-proofing my build?
