Hey everyone! I've been pondering whether the Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers enough performance increase over the Ryzen 7 9700X to justify its price, especially for playing CPU-heavy games like modded Minecraft and Ark: Survival Evolved. I also occasionally dive into popular shooters, and my current GPU is a 9070XT. How much of a difference can I expect in terms of performance? Also, I've heard some reports suggesting the 7800X3D can run quite hot; is that something to be worried about? Thanks!

Honestly, I think the 7800X3D is worth it if you're looking for better performance. You'll definitely see a noticeable boost in CPU-heavy games, especially for modded Minecraft. But if your GPU is a weaker model or you're gaming at 4K, the 9700X can still hold its own. Just keep that in mind!

From what I've seen, in some games, the 7800X3D can pull over 30 fps more than the 9700X. However, it does depend on the specific game you're playing. For instance, in Minecraft, the 9700X actually clocks over 500 fps, which is pretty great too. So both CPUs are solid options depending on your needs!

Yeah, but keep in mind that's at really high fps. For most gaming, either chip should work fine! Just depends on the titles you're into.
