I'm looking for advice on Wi-Fi cards, specifically the TP-Link Archer TX3000E, and whether it's compatible with my Gigabyte B760m x DDR4 motherboard. The manufacturer's website doesn't list a 1x connector, just the main ones for graphics cards. I've heard mixed things about using this Wi-Fi card in a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot—some say it works, others say it doesn't. I haven't bought the Wi-Fi card yet but want to make sure it's a good choice. Additionally, I've been considering the Gigabyte GC-WBAX210 Wi-Fi 6E & Bluetooth 5.2 model. Is that reliable? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

You can indeed use a 1x card in a longer PCIe slot without issues. Just make sure your motherboard's BIOS is up to date, and you should be good to go!

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the TP-Link Archer TX3000E. It has a reputation for compatibility problems and poor driver support. If you're looking for something reliable, go with a card that uses the Intel AX210 chipset—there are many options, and Intel's driver support is usually solid.

Any specific Intel AX210 models you would suggest?
