I'm trying to choose a WiFi card for my setup and I've got a Gigabyte B760m DDR4 motherboard. The official specs show that there's no 1x connector available, just one main slot for the video card and another similar slot. I've got my eyes on the TP-Link Archer TX3000E WiFi card, but I saw some conflicting information about its compatibility with PCIe 4.0. Some folks say I can use it in the PCIe 4.0 4x slot, while others say no. I haven't bought the WiFi card yet but wanted to get some advice before I do. Additionally, after reading some responses, I figured my choice might not be great due to potential crashing issues. I found another option, the Gigabyte GC-WBAX210 Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.2. Is this a solid choice?

I’d steer clear of the TP-Link Archer TX3000E if I were you. It often causes compatibility problems, and their driver support isn’t the best. Look for a WiFi card with the Intel AX210 chipset instead; those have much better reliability and support. Lots of brands make rebranded versions, so you’ve got plenty of options!
Yes, you can use a 1x card in a longer slot! Just make sure it's properly seated. You might not hit the full speed potential of PCIe 4.0, but it should definitely work without any issues.
Don’t buy that card! Check if your motherboard has a dedicated M.2 slot for WiFi; many do, and if yours does, you can easily add an M.2 WiFi module with antennas. The manual should show you where to look on the I/O cover. It’s common for there to be cutouts for antennas even if they don’t look obvious at first.
Unfortunately, my motherboard version doesn't have spots for the antennas, even though the manual suggests it should. I guess I have to go with a card instead.
You got it right! You can put your WiFi card in the second x16 slot. Even though it's PCIe 3.0, it offers a good bandwidth of 8GB/s, which should work fine for your needs!

Could you suggest a few specific models that use the Intel AX210 chipset?
