I recently started using Start11 on my Windows machine to customize my system and application launcher. I'm curious if there's something similar available for Linux. Can anyone point me to an equivalent program or desktop environment that allows for customizations?

There are definitely options on Linux for customization! The most popular desktop environments include GNOME, which has a Mac-like interface, and KDE, which resembles Windows and is very customizable. If you want a more unique setup, check out Hyprland! There are also around 17 other desktop environments to choose from, so while there's no direct equivalent to Start11, the flexibility is outstanding here.
Hyprland looks really promising! But I'm not sure if it works well with beginner-friendly distros. I've only tried Mint and Ubuntu.
Honestly, you can replace your entire Desktop Environment on most Linux distros. It's way easier to tweak things in Linux compared to Windows, so you shouldn't have trouble finding something that fits your needs!
I get that, but I'm just looking for something similar to Start11 that’s user-friendly.
If you're using GNOME, check out an extension called Arc Menu. It’s quite similar to what Start11 offers! You can find it here: [arc menu extension](https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/3628/arcmenu/).
Totally agree! Plus, you can find loads of customization options in r/unixporn for inspiration. Linux might offer too many choices, but that’s part of what makes it so customizable!
