Is there a way to access my Pixel 7 Pro screen through my PC?

I recently lost the screen on my Pixel 7 Pro, making it impossible to interact with it. I'm planning to switch to a new phone in January, but in the meantime, I have an older phone I can use. I really need to recover some important information from my Pixel. A friend mentioned that it might be possible to view my phone's screen by connecting it to my computer. Is there a way to do this, or would I need to wait to replace the screen?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to control your phone without being able to interact with the screen since it requires approval and touch input. But if you’re lucky, you might try some methods to access certain features.

One of the best options is to use a USB-C laptop dock. Connect your phone to the dock along with a keyboard and mouse, so you can engage with the phone's interface. Just know that it may not work for everyone, but it's a solid possibility!

You could try connecting your phone to a USB-C monitor or using a USB-C to HDMI cable with a regular monitor. If you have the right gear, it might be worth a shot!

It seems like it would take a fair amount of effort to get it working. You might be able to see the display but interacting could be tough without the screen.

You can plug it into a monitor to see the screen, but keep in mind that you won't be able to do much without a working touchscreen—just viewing the display. Although, I think if you use certain setups, touch could still be functional.

Yeah, there are ways to use touch even with some setups, depending on the hardware, but you never know until you try!
