I'm using a school laptop, and I've been adding some games to it. For better performance while gaming, I'd like to disable the touchscreen feature. I've explored a bunch of options, including checking settings where the disable option seems hidden, trying to access the device manager but being blocked, and even using devcon, which says it can't find the device. I'm out of ideas and could use some help on this!

Disabling the touchscreen isn't going to give you a performance boost, though. Just so you know, some people have mentioned it might help slightly, but I wouldn't count on it.

I’ve read that for some games, turning off the touchscreen can actually help improve frame rates a bit, even if just slightly. It’s worth looking into, especially if you're trying to get smoother gameplay.
