I'm putting together an entry-level gaming PC aimed at running games like vanilla Minecraft, Fortnite, and Valorant at optimized settings, targeting around 120 to 144 fps. Here's my planned build:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: RX 580 8GB
- SSD: 500 GB NVMe (2000 mbps)
- RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 (2666 MHz)
- Motherboard: MSI B450M-A-Pro Max II
- PSU: MSI MAG A750BN
Will this setup work for me right now, and is it easily upgradable for the future? I hope to make this build last until at least 2028, or until GPU and RAM prices drop significantly after the AI bubble bursts.

It's great that you're considering an entry-level build, but I'd be cautious with the RX 580. It’s pretty outdated now and might not hold up well longer-term. Also, it's no longer supported by Windows in terms of drivers, which could impact your gaming experience. I'd recommend allocating a good portion of your budget towards a better GPU, as that will heavily influence your gaming performance. If you can swing it, look for something like a GTX 1660 or a more recent RX model.
What about the recommendations for a better graphics card? I mainly play Minecraft, which is more CPU-intensive, right?
