Sorry if these questions seem basic, but I'm really just starting out and want to make sure I don't make any mistakes. Is there anything major that I should be aware of when building this PC for gaming?
Most people are now leaning towards AM5 instead of the Intel 14th gen CPUs. You'll generally get better performance and lower power consumption with AM5. Everything else in your build looks decent, but if you want to save a bit, there may be some cheaper alternatives available.
If you're sticking with Intel, I'd suggest you swap the i5-14600K for a 12400K, and choose a Z890 motherboard like the Gigabyte Gaming X. You'd get similar performance and down the line, it's easier to upgrade to a better Intel CPU without having to change your motherboard. For gaming, though, I really recommend considering Ryzen; just avoid Asrock motherboards if you go that route.
Just a heads up: an AIO cooler is an all-in-one liquid cooling system for your CPU, which helps keep it cooler and generally reduces stress on the chip. It's not essential for your build, but I always suggest considering it unless your budget is tight!
