For your motherboard, it might be overkill. You probably don’t need PCIe Gen 5. If you want to save some bucks, check out the MSI B650 MAG Tomahawk instead.
The B650 will be more than enough for your build while saving you some cash!
I see a few tweaks you could make. First, opt for CL30 RAM instead of CL36 for lower latency. Also, consider upgrading your M.2 drive for a better option; spending just $20 more would be worth it. Lastly, check if your case has a fan controller built-in. My Fractal North does, and it helps a lot!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to switch to the RAM you mentioned.
The Thermalright cooler you have comes with great thermal paste already, so you can skip buying an extra tube.
Overall, your parts list looks solid! One suggestion: for a $2500 build, consider getting a TLC SSD. The Samsung 990 Evo Plus is a good pick and it’s only a bit more expensive.
Thanks for the tip! I think I will upgrade to that.
Just a heads up, did the 990 Evo have issues killing storage in the past? I thought I read about that.

I’ll look into that option. What’s the main difference between the two mobos?
