I'm considering a build for gaming in the 2K-4K range that's around $1700. Here's what I'm thinking:
- NZXT H6 Flow RGB Compact Dual-Chamber Mid-tower Airflow Case with RGB Fans
- Cooler Master MPE-8506-ACAG-BEU MWE 850W Gold 850 V3 ATX 3.1 PSU
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
- Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black CPU Cooler
- Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 Motherboard
- 2x HyperX Fury 16GB DDR5-6000 RAM
- Samsung 990 PRO 1TB NVMe SSD
- ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU
What do you all think? Does this setup make sense, or are there areas I should reconsider?

I’d suggest putting your build into PCPartPicker to see the prices of each component more clearly. It might help you find areas to save some cash!
For the cooler, I’d recommend checking out Thermalright options; they're often great for around $35-$50 which is friendlier on the budget. As for the motherboard, think about whether you actually need the extra features that come with the X870 over what B850 or B650 has. And high-end SSDs like the Samsung 990 PRO might just be overkill for gaming, so check other options that are cheaper.
The total price is $1700 built and ready to go, but I'll consider those alternatives!
Honestly, the Noctua NH-D15 cooler is overkill for the 7800X3D. You could get by with a much cheaper cooler, like the Wraith Prism, and it would work just fine. Also, are you sure you need the Gigabyte X870 board? A B650 or B850 might save you some cash without sacrificing performance. And that RAM should be bought as a kit rather than single sticks; it’s usually cheaper that way!
True, I was just trying to future-proof it a little. The price difference for the cooler and RAM upgrade was only about $200.

I'm in Lebanon, so prices might vary. I'll try to get that done soon!
