I'm working on building a gaming PC aimed at 4K gaming with the ability to hit at least 144Hz to 240Hz on high settings. Here's the breakdown of my build with the total cost coming to $2,280.11 at Micro Center:

* CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
* Motherboard: ASUS - B65E-E TUF GAMING WIFI AMD AM5 ATX
* RAM: 32 GB
* GPU: ASRock - AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Challenger
* M.2 SSD: Samsung - 990 PRO 2 TB
* Case: Lian Li - Lancool 207 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower - Black
* PSU: MSI - MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular
* Water Cooler: Lian Li - GA II LITE RGB 360mm

Yeah, I agree! The components you've picked are good, but you might want to adjust your expectations for 4K gaming performance. I'd recommend checking out some benchmarks for the RX 9070 XT; it handles 1440p really well!

240Hz at 4K with an RX 9070 XT? That’s a tall order! You might not even reach 200Hz at 4K with a high-end RTX 5080. I’d consider this more of a 1440p ultra build—everything else looks solid though!
