I recently got a 4K OLED monitor and want to build a gaming PC that can handle intensive games without breaking the bank. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to tech—my only experience is modding Minecraft on my laptop. Here's what I'm thinking for my build:
- Ryzen 7 7700x CPU
- Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE CPU cooler (considering liquid cooling but not sure if it's worth it)
- MSI B650 motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance 32GB RAM
- Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD
- RTX 5070ti or 5080 (probably PNY since it's the cheapest?)
- Phanteks XT PRO case
- MSI MAG A750GL PSU
I've heard there will be a super series of the 5070ti and 5080 coming out next year, which could be cheaper, so should I wait for those? I've also read that it's crucial not to skimp on motherboards and PSUs, but I'm not sure if the ones I'm looking at are decent. Any advice on my components or any changes I should make?

The 7700x is an interesting choice. If you can stretch your budget a bit, the 7800x3d offers better performance, and you could also check out the 9600x, which might come at a lower cost with solid performance too.
Also, air coolers like the one you chose are usually more cost-efficient than liquid cooling options, which tend to be overkill for most setups.
Before diving in, you might want to consider a couple of things. First off, what's your budget and where are you located? That’ll help with recommendations.
Sorry! I’m in the US and I’d like to keep it under 2k, but I’m not sure if that’s feasible.

I picked it since it was cheaper and I saw a couple of threads saying it was a solid choice.
