Hey everyone! My wife's niece is thinking about getting her first gaming PC. She loves games like Ghost of Tsushima, Resident Evil, and God of War, so we want a PC that can handle those newer titles at good settings. We're still working on a budget in CAD$, and I'm trying to figure out if the build I'm considering is too much for her needs. Here's the link to my build: https://alexandriacustoms.ca/products/pandamonium-custom-gaming-pc. I also did a quick build on PCPartPicker: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/F4MqQd. Should we go with a pre-built option or try building it ourselves?

That pre-built is cute, but honestly, it's way overpriced. For what you're looking at, I'd estimate that build should be closer to CAD $1500-1800. Even with some profit margin included, the asking price is too high, especially with a single 1TB SSD and a low-end power supply. While the CPU and GPU combo will definitely play those games, you could find much better value by building your own. It might seem daunting, but it's worth it for the savings!
I recommend building it yourself! This way, you can choose name-brand parts and get a better deal. Pre-builts like that one tend to be overpriced and don’t let you customize as much. Plus, if you make the right choices, you can hit the budget range you're aiming for without overpaying.
Thanks for your input! I’m trying to get a feel for what’s a fair price since it’s been a while since I looked at PC prices.
