Is This Old PC a Good Buy for 3D Kitchen Design?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on a computer I found that I might use for my kitchen design business. It's a Dell Precision tower from 2016 that has two Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors and 64GB of RAM. The asking price is $270 since it's from a college surplus store. I know it's an older model, so I'm wondering if it's worth buying this and maybe upgrading it later, or if I should just invest in a newer PC that would cost $1500 or more. Any insights?

I’d be cautious about that setup. Unless your software can utilize all 16 cores, you won’t get much performance out of those older Xeon processors. They’ve been around for a while, and per-core efficiency isn't great. You'd be better off looking for newer hardware, like a used Ryzen 5 3600 with a B350/B450 motherboard and some DDR4 RAM.

The software I use recommends at least 16 cores and 8GB of VRAM for the GPU, though.
