I'm looking to put together a gaming setup for my 12-year-old, specifically aimed at 1440p and 240hz gaming. Here's the parts list I've put together, and I want to make sure I'm not ordering any unnecessary parts. Also, do any of the components come with wires or attachments included?

If this is a personal device for your kid, I'd advise against it. It might be better to have a family computer for shared use instead of a dedicated one for them. Setting limits is crucial! But hey, it depends on how mature they are.

That logic varies from kid to kid. What’s important is teaching them to use technology responsibly!

Have you checked if there’s a Micro Center near you? They often have great deals, and you could save on some of your components!

Actually, I’m based in Asia, and my budget is around 2k USD, so I'm looking for the best options online.

Are you sure a 12-year-old needs a webcam? There are safety concerns with kids online, and I’d personally skip that on their build. A basic setup without it should be fine!

Absolutely agree! No webcam is a safer choice for a kid. Better to keep them protected from potential online risks.

Here’s a suggestion: consider a newer generation CPU and a more powerful PSU (more wattage), and drop the Windows purchase if it’s not necessary. Here’s an updated parts list I made: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PtWBPf]. What do you think?

I’m looking at this list you posted. Would it work well for the gaming experience I'm aiming for?

Your build looks solid overall! However, if budget allows, consider upgrading the video card to the RX 9060 XT with 16GB instead of the RX 7700 XT with 12GB. It’ll offer better performance for gaming in the long run. Also, if you're tight on budget, you could downgrade the RAM to 16GB or pick a non-RGB option to save a bit.

Upgrading to the 9060 XT is a good shout! And yeah, the RGB RAM isn’t really necessary if you're trying to keep costs down.
