I'm putting together a PC build and would love to get some feedback on my parts list. Here's what I have:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI ATX AM5
- **Memory**: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
- **Storage**: Crucial BX500 1 TB SSD, Crucial P310 2 TB NVME SSD, Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD
- **Video Card**: Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- **Case**: Fractal Design North ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: Montech CENTURY II 850 W 80+ Gold
- **Case Fans**: ARCTIC P12 and P14
- **Additional Components**: Various SATA cables and USB expansion card

The total comes out to about $2423.25, and I'm using a Microcenter bundle for the CPU, motherboard, and RAM. Any advice or opinions would really help. Thanks!

Overall, it looks good! One thing I’d suggest is re-evaluating that motherboard. Do you really need the X870? There are some great B850 or B650 boards that perform almost the same for way less cash. Plus, if you're mainly gaming, consider switching to an AMD 9070 XT for better savings! Also check out this link I found for a better deal on a bundle.

I totally see what you mean about the motherboard. Just wanted to note that I use NVIDIA Cuda for machine learning, so that's why I chose the 5070 Ti.

I agree with you about the motherboard! Those alternatives could save quite a bit.

For around $30 less, you could snag the 9850x3d bundle with an X670 motherboard, or for just $20 more, get a different bundle with the same mobo! Honestly, I’d lean towards that option. Everything else looks solid, but definitely keep an eye out for any open box deals on graphics cards locally; you might score a sweet deal!

Just a heads up, the 5070 Ti doesn’t stack up well against the 9070 XT. I'd personally pick the 9070 for a better value. I got mine for $580, so I wouldn’t drop $900 on the 5070 unless you really need that NVIDIA performance for certain applications.

Totally agree! The price-to-performance ratio just doesn’t make sense with the 5070 Ti. I'm also using NVIDIA Cuda for ML, which is why I understand the Nvidia preference, but it's worth considering the 9070!

I'm curious, did you factor in power consumption and cooling needs for such components? Just something to think about!
