I'm planning to upgrade my current setup from a 1080 Ti and want to build a new PC that can handle 1440p gaming while keeping the total cost under $2000. I haven't built a PC in about eight years, so I'm looking for some reassurance on my component choices. Here's the list of parts I'm considering: an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, a Thermalright Peerless assassin cooler, an ASRock B650 motherboard, a 32 GB DDR5 RAM, a 2 TB Samsung SSD, and an Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, all packed into a Montech AIR 903 case. The total for this build comes to around $1848.03. What do you all think?

Definitely go for a 140mm cooler if your case supports it. It'll give you better cooling for your CPU, especially during intense gaming sessions!
Your build looks solid overall! Just a heads up though, the ASRock motherboard has had some issues with X3D CPUs. It might be worth considering a different brand like MSI or Gigabyte for better reliability. I've done some research and found a cheaper and reliable option; check out my suggested build that includes a Gigabyte motherboard instead.

If you're able to stretch your budget a bit, consider getting the 9800X3D. The performance boost could be worth it, especially for gaming at 1440p!
Thanks for the heads up, really helpful.
