Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my computer and I'd love your advice on whether my setup will maintain good performance. I'm sticking with my DDR4 RAM, storage, case, and monitors, but upgrading the rest. Here's what I'm considering:

- **CPU:** Intel Core i5-14600KF 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor
- **Cooler:** Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B760 GAMING X DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
- **RAM:** G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory (total 32 GB)
- **Storage:**
- Samsung 860 Evo 250 GB 2.5" SSD
- Kingston NV3 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD
- **GPU:** MSI VENTUS 2X PLUS OC GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB
- **Power Supply:** Corsair CX650 650 W ATX Power Supply
- **Monitors:**
- LG 24MP59G-P 23.8" 1920x1080 75 Hz
- LG 24GQ50F-B 23.8" 1920x1080 165 Hz

Will this build perform well without a significant drop in performance? Also, if RAM prices decrease, would upgrading to DDR4 make sense? Thanks a lot!

With your GPU, the RTX 5060 Ti, you probably won't see much performance loss with DDR4 RAM. Generally, the weaker your GPU, the less impact the CPU and RAM have on gaming performance. Like, the difference in benchmarks shows that when using weaker graphics, the CPU/RAM change only affects frame rates slightly. So, you'll be fine sticking with DDR4 for now!

It’s hard to say you’ll lose performance without knowing what you’re comparing it to. But keep in mind that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black isn’t the best match for the 14600KF because that CPU can run hot. You might face throttling if you push it hard. Consider getting a better cooler, like a dual-tower option, for better thermal performance.
