Hey everyone! I just turned 16 and got my first job, so I'm planning to save up between 1000 and 1300 euros for a new PC. I'm not too experienced with building computers, but I've done my research. Here's the build I'm considering (all parts are from Amazon):
- **GPU:** Rx 7700 XT with 12GB VRAM
- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 9600X
- **Motherboard:** MSI Pro B650M-P (mATX)
- **RAM:** DDR5 2x8GB
- **SSD:** 1TB Crucial P310
- **PSU:** 750W Corsair
- **Case:** Darkflash mATX
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Assassin X120
I've also thought about other GPUs like the Rx 9060 XT (8/16GB VRAM) and the 5070 (12GB VRAM). I'd love to know if you think this build is decent and somewhat future-proof. If not, what would you suggest changing? Thanks a lot!

The GPU choice seems a bit off to me. The rest of your build sounds good, but I noticed you didn’t mention the RAM specs. Prices are pretty high right now due to the shortage! I went for a 9060 XT with 16GB of RAM, and it cost me 1402 EUR. You might want to consider dropping the RAM to 16GB and getting a slightly weaker CPU like the 7600X while upgrading to a 5070 GPU if you can stretch your budget. Just keep in mind, 1000 EUR is tight; aiming for 1300 is better.
From what I see, you're building a decent entry-to-mid-range PC. Just a heads up, nothing really can be truly "future-proof"—technology changes fast! If you're set on the 9600X, keep in mind that the Intel Core Ultra 5-225F is actually cheaper and performs better with more cores. Check the benchmarks to see.
You might be overestimating how much RAM you'll need. In the next few years, DDR4 is likely still going to work just fine. If you choose a motherboard compatible with DDR4, you could save some cash and possibly go for 32GB of RAM, because right now 16GB might not cut it for some tasks. Everything else looks solid, though! Oh, and consider Intel’s Arc GPUs; they optimize really well for DirectX 12.
