I'm looking to upgrade my old Lenovo laptop, which is over 10 years old, to a new PC in 2026. I've found a build online and made a few adjustments, like changing the case and RAM. Here's what I'm considering:
- Case: Mars Gaming Mc-S1 Black
- Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE 550 Bronze
- Storage: Silicon Power 1TB SSD
- Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI
- RAM: Lexar Ares DDR4 2x8GB 4k MHz
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (6 cores/12 threads)
- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 5050 8G Shadow
I'm planning to buy everything from Amazon Italy and have Prime. Can anyone tell me if any components here are incompatible? I want the total cost to be around 600-700 euros, and I'm focused on gaming performance, particularly with games like Minecraft (with mods and shaders), Hollow Knight, Roblox, and maybe some shooters at 60 fps. Also, I found a website with more info, but it's in Italian.

Just a heads-up, I found info saying a PC build for 2027 in that price range can handle modded Minecraft with shaders, Hollow Knight, and some shooters at 60 fps. However, the current price on Amazon Italy is around 812.53 euros, not including delivery.
What exactly do you want the PC to do? Knowing your gaming preferences can help refine your build options. If you're diving into modded games, ensure you have good specs for it.
I want to play modded Minecraft (with shaders), Hollow Knight, and occasionally Roblox. I may also give Valorant a shot.
Also, be aware that the RTX 5050 hasn't been released yet and won't be available in 2026. If you're waiting to buy for 2027, you might end up with outdated specs. It might be better to order sooner to get better options and availability.
I noticed that the SSD you're considering uses QLC flash, which isn't very durable and slows down over time. It's best to go for a TLC flash drive like the Biwin NV7400 for better durability and speed.
I swapped the drive for the NV7400, but it's currently unavailable. If I have to choose the NV7200 instead, will that be fine?
This setup seems pretty low-end for 2027. It might handle basic 1080p gaming, but you could struggle with newer AAA titles. If you're focusing on games like modded Minecraft, Hollow Knight, and Roblox, it might work, but don’t expect it to perform well on the latest shooters.
I'm specifically looking to play modded Minecraft with shaders, Hollow Knight, and some Roblox. Do you think it’ll manage those games?

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm just looking to keep it within budget.
