Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first PC and originally I had a budget of $1000, but my build is coming in around $1300. Luckily, my mom is helping with the extra $300! Here's the breakdown of the parts I'm planning to use:
- **SSD**: 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus
- **RAM**: 32GB Corsair Vengeance
- **Cooler**: Corsair H100i Elite
- **Case**: Lian Li O11 Mini Air
- **GPU**: Nvidia 2080 Super
- **CPU**: Intel i7-10700
- **Motherboard**: MSI Z490-A PRO
- **PSU**: Corsair RM750x 80 Plus
I want to play games like Valorant, Fortnite, Minecraft, Sims, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Roblox. Do you think this build will meet my needs?

Consider swapping the GPU for a 9060XT 16GB if you want to trim about $200 off your total. Also, looking at /r/buildapcsales could help you find some great deals.
Where are you located? If you’re in the US, you could get a much better setup for around $1250. There are some newer parts that might give you better performance without breaking the bank. Here’s a quick list:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
- **Video Card**: PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070
And the total cost came out to about $1249.91!
Hey, thanks for this! I’m in the US, so this system would be perfect!
Honestly, this build looks a bit outdated. Most of those parts are over 5 years old, so you might not get the best performance for your money. I'd recommend checking out some more recent builds for a similar budget, you really might get a better overall system.
Noted! I wasn't aware of that. I'll definitely check into newer builds.
Your parts list feels a bit behind the times. Make sure to do some more research and see if you can find parts that offer better value!
Thanks for the reminder! I appreciate the feedback since this is my first build.
I appreciate that! I didn’t even know there was a subreddit for sales. I’ll check it out!
