I came across this prebuilt gaming PC at Micro Center and I'm curious about whether it's a worthwhile purchase. The link is here: https://www.microcenter.com/product/698879/powerspec-g758-gaming-pc. I haven't followed PC parts since the 1070 came out, and I've been gaming on that for nearly 10 years! I'm not really into building my own PC unless there's a significant price benefit. Looking at this prebuilt, I feel like I wouldn't save much if I built one myself. Interestingly, they also have another PC with a 7800X3D for the same price. Am I missing something? I'm just looking for something that will last me a good few years.

As long as the power supply is reliable, I think this prebuilt should serve you well!
Aesthetics can be subjective. While the price is appealing for a prebuilt, you should definitely check the CAS latency on the RAM. It’s not provided in the specs, which can be a bit concerning. High latency RAM can slow down your CPU performance, especially when paired with good processors like this one.
I looked up the RAM specs, and it seems to be DDR5-6000 CL36-48-48-96 1.25V. And I agree about the looks; it won't matter much to me since it will be mostly out of sight on my desk.
This prebuilt seems like a solid deal! Honestly, it would probably cost you just as much—if not more—if you tried to build it yourself with similar specs. So, if you're not interested in the hassle of building, this might be the way to go!
Thanks for confirming! That's what I thought. Honestly, I might be okay with spending an extra $150-200 just to avoid the setup hassle. I don't think I'd find anything cheaper unless I wait for a big sale.

Looks like it's a Cooler Master MPX-8503-AFAG-2BUV with 80+ Gold rating, so that seems decent.
