Is this RAM a good fit for my computer build?

Hey everyone! I'm a first-time PC builder working on upgrading my dad's setup. Here are the specs:

- Processor: Ryzen 5 2600
- Graphics Card: RTX 2060 Super
- Motherboard: MACHINIST B450M

I bought a 1x16GB Teamgroup DDR4 3600MHz RAM (not sure if it's CL16 or CL18). I just read that my CPU only officially supports up to 2933MHz, and since I'm using a single stick, I'm wondering if I should cancel my order for this RAM and instead get a 2x8GB 3200MHz kit for better performance. I'm also curious if it's feasible to use the 3600MHz RAM. Plus, is the MSI MAG A600DN PSU a suitable choice for this build, even though it's rated E tier?

You can definitely use 3600MHz RAM with your Ryzen 5 2600. However, since the CPU officially guarantees support only up to 2933MHz, you might not get the full speed. Dual channel RAM, especially with Ryzen chips, can boost performance significantly, so I’d recommend switching to a 2x8GB 3200MHz kit if possible. It'll help a lot!

Totally agree! Two 8GB sticks will provide better performance due to dual channel, and 3200MHz is a sweet spot for that CPU.

The Ryzen 5 2600 can indeed handle higher RAM speeds like 3200MHz and even 3600MHz, but the real performance boost comes from using dual channel. If your motherboard has only two slots, it might be worth reconsidering your order to benefit from that dual channel while still getting decent speed. And as for the PSU, it's always better to go for something reliable, so keep an eye on that E tier rating!

Yeah, I'd be cautious with the PSU. Even if it's cheap, you want something that can safely handle your components.
