I found a used custom-built PC listed for ₹85,500 (about $891). It includes a Ryzen 7 3700X, Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC motherboard, stock cooler, Zotac RTX 3060 12GB, 32GB (2×16GB) HyperX Fury RGB DDR4-3200 memory, Deepcool PL750D power supply, Cooler Master TD500 case, a 512GB Gigabyte M.2 NVMe SSD, and a 2TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive. The system was purchased on August 21, 2020, and most components are now out of warranty; only the power supply still has coverage. The seller says it works well and is selling because they are switching to a MacBook for work travel. Is this a fair price, and how much should I negotiate?

₹85,500 is too high for a four-year-old build with mostly expired warranties. Based on current used-market prices, the parts add up to roughly ₹60,000 if you are patient and compare listings. I would start lower and avoid paying more than about ₹60,000–₹65,000 after testing everything. The B550 board is a strong point because it gives you an upgrade path to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D later, and the system could remain useful for a few more years. For 1440p gaming, you could eventually upgrade the graphics card as well.
Would you recommend putting together a new build with mostly new parts instead? If I build from scratch, my maximum budget is around ₹1.2 lakh including a monitor, so I’m trying to decide which option offers better value.
