I'm considering switching to Linux, and I've noticed that while Unity works to some extent, it feels a bit off. I haven't done extensive testing yet, but I've run into issues with Rider connectivity for debugging and playmode sensitivity. Are there any tips or insights on how to improve my experience? Am I missing something important?

Honestly, Unity on Linux has been pretty bad for a while now. I'd say it's pretty much dead at this point.
From what I've heard, Unity is struggling quite a bit. There’s just one developer left, and they aren’t actively working on it. It’s likely that it'll fade away soon. You might want to consider switching to desktop environments like Gnome or KDE instead.
Are you talking about the Unity game engine? I haven’t faced many issues personally, and it seems manageable for me. Just curious if there are specific functionalities you’re struggling with.

I get that! I heard a good source mention it, Jean from Distro Guides, goes into detail about the state of Unity. It's a long watch, but you might find it helpful: https://youtu.be/iCE6cbcQYZo
