Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind since my laptop is out of commission, and it'll be a few months until I can replace it. I've already completed CS50x and the foundations course from the Odin Project. My question is, can I still learn and improve my programming skills using only books and paper during this downtime? Are there any other methods or resources I can utilize for self-learning without a computer? I'm worried I might lose my skills if I wait too long.

Using pen and paper will only get you so far. For real coding practice, I’d recommend trying to set up Termux on your phone to get a Linux terminal. You can install Node.js and start learning basic edits in Vim. Just a caution though, make sure it won’t harm your phone in the long run!

While it's definitely doable to learn theory through books, hands-on coding is where the real magic happens! If you have a mobile device, you could use that for coding. It's not as smooth, but it works. There's even an option to get a Bluetooth keyboard for easier typing. Just a heads up, there are plenty of people online sharing tips about coding on your phone.
