I'm considering an "upgrade" from my current 12700 CPU (which doesn't have a warranty) to a brand new 14600K that comes with a warranty and even includes Battlefield 6. The price difference is minimal—around $15 to $20. From what I can see, the performance boost doesn't seem significant, but getting a warranty with a new CPU is tempting. What do you all think?

It's definitely worth it if you're planning to play Battlefield 6, it would be a great addition!
I'd definitely go for it! The main concern with Intel's 13th and 14th generation CPUs burning out seems to be with the higher-end i7s and i9s, while the i5s, like the 14600K, are generally unaffected.
I was in the same boat, thinking of upgrading from my 12600k, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth the switch for me.
If the price difference isn't too much, consider going for the 14700K instead. The 14600K is still a solid choice! The previous issues with Intel have mostly been resolved, primarily with the higher-end models. Just make sure to update the BIOS after getting the new CPU.
Absolutely! You'll notice a performance jump. The 14600K is better than the 9600x or 7600x, which means you can easily use it for a long time before needing another upgrade, especially if you’re not sure what Intel's future plans are.
I'm a bit hesitant due to the recent instability reports with the 13th-14th gen CPUs, especially the i5s, i7s, and i9s. But since you're getting a warranty, that could help ease your concerns. Overall, it sounds like a decent deal.

Yeah, but the 14700K is a lot pricier, like 175€ compared to 350€!
