I found a 2080 Ti at a decent price and I'm considering it for 1440p gaming, especially since I also want to use it for VR gaming. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 5700X3D paired with a 3060 Ti. Would this upgrade be beneficial, or should I hold off and look for something better?

If you're set on 1440p, I'd say the 2080 Ti is just a small step up. If you can, look for a good deal on a 3080 or similar; that's likely to give you a much better performance boost.
