Is Upgrading from a 3600X to a 5700X a Good Move?

I'm currently running a build with a Ryzen 3600X, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 3070, and I'm playing games at 1440p. Most of the time, my setup performs fine, but I've noticed that my frame rates in World of Warcraft are quite low. I've heard that WoW relies heavily on the CPU rather than the GPU. Since I can't afford a full upgrade to AM5 with a new motherboard, CPU, and DDR5 RAM, I'm considering whether switching to a 5700X would help improve my performance. The 5700X3D is out of my budget, so I'm focusing on the 5700X instead. Would this upgrade make a noticeable difference for my gaming experience?

I recently made the jump from a 3600 to a 5800X, and I can tell you — it was 100% worth it for me! The AM4 platform is still solid, and since I can't afford a whole new setup right now, this upgrade felt like a final hoorah. Just be aware that your cooler might become a bottleneck after such an upgrade.

Honestly, I don't think you'll notice a significant change in WoW without an X3D chip or transitioning to an AM5 setup. AM5 bundles are actually becoming quite affordable, and if you could snag a CPU, motherboard, and RAM combo with something like a 7600X or 7500F, it could be worth saving up for. The 5700X is decent, but if you're focused on WoW specifically, a bigger upgrade will be more beneficial in the long run.
