I'm currently using an RTX 4060 Ti OC with 8GB of VRAM, and I'm thinking about making an upgrade to an RTX 5070 OC that has 12GB of VRAM. I've found that I can sell my current card for over $250, which makes the $500 price tag of the 5070 seem more reasonable. I'm primarily considering the extra RAM as a selling point, but I'm unsure if the overall upgrade will be worth the investment. What do you all think?

You're right to consider the upgrade for that extra VRAM, but ultimately, you should think about what games you play and whether the 4060 Ti is really a limit for you. If you play newer, more demanding titles, then going for the 5070 could be a good move!
Definitely go for the RTX 5070! The extra 4GB of VRAM can really help with performance in demanding games. Just keep in mind that it's actually 12GB, not 16GB, but it's still a solid upgrade. If you can get it for under $500, that’s a great deal compared to other options like the 5060 Ti.
I have the same RTX 5070 (PNY OC), and I love it! It's been performing better than I expected, so I'd recommend it if you can make the jump at that price.
The main advantage of switching is definitely the extra GPU power you'll notice, along with the added 4GB of VRAM. But honestly, it depends on how you're currently using the 4060 Ti. If it's holding you back in your favorite games, the upgrade might be worth it. But if you're not feeling any performance issues, you might want to hold off for now.

Yeah, I agree! The 5070 has better overall performance, and the extra RAM will be great for future-proofing your setup.
