I'm considering upgrading from my current RTX 5070 to the RTX 5070 Ti, but I'm a bit worried about the price, which is around $300. With the anticipated release of the RTX 6070, I expect prices to surge even more. I don't necessarily need the new GPU for 1440p gaming just yet, but I have concerns about the market becoming chaotic in a couple of years if I wait. Additionally, I might need to upgrade my Ryzen 5 7500F to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which would cost an extra $200. My PSU is a 750W Gold, so power shouldn't be an issue. Any thoughts on whether this upgrade is a good idea?

I just moved from a 3070 to a 5070 Ti. Prices are all over the place, so it felt right to jump in now while I could get a solid deal. If you're looking at bundling parts, keep an eye on discounts too; I snagged a great deal just before the holidays!
The performance boost from the 5070 Ti compared to the 5070 is huge! If you have the budget, I say go for it. You'll feel the difference, especially in demanding games.
I switched from a 5070 to a 5070 Ti and the performance increase is highly noticeable. You won't regret it if you decide to upgrade!
You really don’t need to upgrade your CPU just yet. The 5070 Ti is a solid choice when it comes to graphics cards, and I think it's the best of the 5000 series. If you can swing it, go for the Ti! Also, consider looking at the 9070 XT while you're at it.
If you have the budget, grab the upgrade now! The future doesn’t look good for prices, and you’d likely be able to enjoy your gaming experience much more with the 5070 Ti.
Honestly, there's a significant shortage in graphics cards right now, and the new ones aren't coming out anytime soon. Upgrading now could save you from the chaos later.
Just curious, what's your PSU looking like? You haven’t mentioned that yet!
I had a similar experience when I upgraded to a higher tier GPU a couple of years ago. If you can afford the 5070 Ti, it’s a better investment for the long run since it might keep you gaming at max settings for a few years without needing another upgrade. I made a similar choice, and it’s paid off well for me—I'm still happy with it two years later!
