I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card from an RX 580 to a 3060 12GB because I want to start streaming games. The RX 580 is really underperforming for that. I want to know if the 3060 would handle 1080p streaming smoothly for a mix of indie and AAA games. Also, I'm hoping it would last me at least two years before needing another upgrade. What do you think?

The 3060 could be a solid choice! If you can snag one for around $200, that's a fantastic deal. Plus, it gives you better VRAM and supports features like DLSS and ray tracing. But keep an eye out; the RX 6700 XT offers performance closer to the RTX 3070 for just a bit more than the 3060. Worth considering!
Upgrading to the 3060 is definitely a big leap! You'll notice a massive improvement in performance. It's pretty much twice as powerful as the RX 580, perfect for what you're planning to do.
Honestly, I'd save for something better, like a 4070 or above. The 3060 might not give you the longevity you're looking for and could feel outdated sooner than you'd want.
I found one for about $220. Do you think that'll last me for at least two years? I'm planning a full upgrade after that.
