I just sold my old AM4 build (which had a Ryzen 7 5700X and RTX 3070) and used the money to put together a new setup featuring an RX 6900 XT. Here's what my current build looks like: Ryzen 7 7600X3D, MSI B850 Pro Gaming WiFi, 32GB G.Skill DDR5-6000 RAM, MSI A850G 850W PSU, and an MSI MAG 360 AIO cooler, all paired with a 1440p high-refresh monitor. Right now, I'm gaming on the RX 6900 XT, but Newegg has this promo where they'll give me $350 for my card towards a new RX 9070 XT, making the total out-of-pocket cost approximately $416. I play a mix of competitive shooters and AAA titles at 1440p. Considering all that, is the RX 9070 XT really worth the upgrade, or does my RX 6900 XT still hold its ground at 1440p? I'd love to hear opinions from anyone who has made a similar jump.

I’d say maybe hold off. The RX 6900 XT is still a strong card for 1440p. If you can sell it for cash on a site like Facebook Marketplace rather than trade-in, that might be a better option. I sold my old card for $380 recently, which is a lot better than the trade-in value!
I made a jump from a 7700 XT to the 9070 (non-XT) and I was pretty satisfied! If you can justify the $350 for the upgrade, go for it. Just check the benchmarks and make sure you're okay with the performance difference. I'd say there's about a 25% improvement with FSR quality settings, which isn’t too bad for gaming!
Honestly, I think it could be worth it! Prices for graphics cards are pretty crazy right now, and at $699 for the new card, that's a decent deal if you can make the trade-in work. It'll definitely give you a boost, especially at 1440p.
Yeah, plus it might come with some cool extras like a free cooler or game. You could always sell the cooler if you don’t need it!

Good point, there are probably better deals if you list it broadly. I'm trying to avoid waiting but it's probably worth it.
